I would prefer it for Haxe….then have Haxe compile to flash/silverlight…..just have to get the haxe to silverlight working

Honestly I think that is better to everyone when a thing is platform independent. But, why not mature and spred out the AlivePDF “philosofy” and receive more support from the flash community before diving into headaches with a new platform?

    Hi hosey,

Yes, I talked with Nicolas from haXe about it, and this is something I will do :)

    Hi Erick,

I agree with that, I am not going to go with another version for a different platform right now. Before that, I want to have a nice AlivePDF stable version containing all the feature the community wanted. Iwas just throwing this idea to know your opinion :)

    Thanks for your comments

One of my first comments here was if you’d consider writing in haXe :-) so I’m happy you plan to!

Maybe it would be a good idea to start porting to haXe now and use the AS3 sourcecode generation for AS3 releases?

    Hi Danny,

I am currently thinking about porting AlivePDF to haXe, well to be honest I already started :)

I really think this could add great features to AlivePDF :)

    Eh, who’s using Silverlight anyway ? ;)

Consider creating a good server-side Java Pdf generator with a good integration with Flex frontend apps.

Your current version is nice, all the respects for that. However, it’s a bit slow so a good open source server-side generator would be usefull.
