    Problem with vertical scrolls
    =========================

I am using alivePDF to generate a PDF for a container, which is having a vertical scroll.
Problem is that it shows me only the first child of the container & rest are clipped. Anybody pls tell me the way to generate PDF of whole container.

Is font embedding still not supported? I would like to be able to display asian fonts in the exported PDF files but I can’t seem to find anything that would do this in the new release ( 0.1.4.8 ).

    Thanks.

I am looking for the font embedding feature too! When will the next release be?

    great work so far though!

I also had to write my own function for writing wrapped text as my text wouldnt wrap/slign correctly when using right/centre align in a multicell – is there somewhere I could post this so other people could use it?

    Hi Thibault

we have used AlivePDF for a very cool project. The client uploads images and text through our custom Flash CMS to their flash site, which has the capability to generate PDF’s from the images and text on-the-fly.

Try it out here > http://www.kvorning.com

Select a project, press “Info” and then hit the print-icon.

We tested the resolution and the speed of the PDF-assembly and decided to add 2 ways of generating PDFs. One in low-resolution, which takes less than 10 sec to finish, and one in high resolution (hold command while pressing the print-icon). This gives the client the option of printing high-quality PDFs.

We are currently working on another project to port Powerpoint-presentations to Adobe Air, and thereafter export custom presentations to a webserver for PDF-assembly. I will keep you updated. In that respect do you know when/if it is possible to generate PDFs in Adobe Air with AlivePDF? At the moment we have to upload all files to our webserver to generate the PDF, but would like the capability of generating PDFs locally.

    Best regards,

    Tue Oxenvad, Denmark

    Hi Tue,

Your project looks nice ! I am very happy to hear that you guys used AlivePDF :)

Concerning your question regarding PDF generation locally. You can generate PDF’s locally with AIR with no problems using the File and FileStream classes.

The good thing is that you can also save or load files locally with the Flash Player 10 using the FileReference class (load and save methods).

Tell me if you need any features or improvements in AlivePDF.

    best,

    Thibault
